Troubleshooting & Bootloop Recovery
What to check when the device runs into trouble.
If you run into bugs or crashes while using CrossPoint, please open an issue and attach the serial monitor log. Connect the device to a computer and start a serial monitor to view logs. Use Serial Monitor or run:
pio device monitorIf the device is stuck in a bootloop, press and release the reset button, then hold the configured Back and Power buttons together to boot back to the home screen.
Tip: If books render incorrectly or behavior gets weird, try deleting the .crosspoint directory on the SD card to clear caches. Settings and reading positions are preserved while rendering caches are regenerated.
v1.2.0 new feature: If the device shuts down unexpectedly, the next boot shows the Crash Reason on screen and a crash report is automatically saved to crash_report.txt on the SD card root. Please attach this file when reporting issues.
