Supported languages

CrossPoint renders text using the following Unicode character blocks:

  • Latin (basic, supplement, extended-A): English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Turkish, Catalan, and more
  • Cyrillic (standard and extended): Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Macedonian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Mongolian, and more
  • Korean: Fully supported in the Korean firmware (custom font included)

v1.2.0 adds new translations for Hungarian, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Kazakh, and Belarusian. The language picker is sorted alphabetically and styled per the active theme. Existing translations for Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Swedish, Dutch, Polish, German, French, Italian, Catalan, Turkish, Danish, and Finnish have also been significantly improved.

Not supported: Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Persian

EPUB image support

JPG and PNG images embedded in EPUB files are rendered. Images are auto-fitted to the screen, and you can disable image rendering via Settings → Display → Images.

v1.2.0 swaps the cover image decoder to JPEGDEC for major performance gains. Per-pixel image rendering overhead has been removed, so page turns are faster in image-heavy books, and the upload size limit for large EPUBs has been relaxed.

Note: Large images such as covers may still take a moment to convert. GIF, SVG, and WebP formats are not yet supported. Heavy-cover EPUBs are faster if you pre-optimize them with EPUB to XTC Converter.

  1. Use Up/Down (or volume up/down) to choose the chapter
  2. Press OK to jump to that chapter
  3. or press Back to cancel and return to the current page

KOReader Sync

When KOReader Sync is enabled in settings, the chapter selection screen shows additional options:

  • Sync Progress: Jump to the synced reading position from the KOReader server
  • The synced chapter name is also displayed so you can easily see where you left off on another device
