Proceed with caution
The chance of an unrecoverable problem is extremely low, but not zero. Before flashing, back up your device first using Save full flash.
Once you start Write full flash from file or Flash firmware, do not disconnect the device or close the tab until the operation completes. You can always restore to a previous state by writing a full flash from a backup.
Browser requirements
This feature uses the WebSerial API. It only works in Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox are not supported.
Full flash backup and restore
These features create a complete backup of your Xteink device so you can restore it if something goes wrong.
Save full flash reads the device flash and saves it as flash.bin. It takes about 25 minutes. You can then use that file (or someone else's) with Write full flash from file to overwrite the entire device flash.
OTA fast flash controls
Before using these, we strongly recommend backing up first with Save full flash above.
Flash firmware downloads the firmware, overwrites the backup partition with the new firmware, then switches to that partition (the previous firmware becomes the new backup). It is much faster than a full flash write and preserves all settings. If something goes wrong, just run it again.
X3 packages with serial numbers may not support USB flashing. In that case, use the Download button to get the firmware, copy it to an SD card, then use Settings → System → SD card firmware update.

Progress will appear here once an operation starts
Device restart guide
Once flashing completes the device will restart automatically. If automatic restart fails, press and release the reset button on the lower right, then hold the main power button for about 1 second to restart manually.
